Doctor for a Day inspires high school students, particularly those from rural communities and/or underrepresented backgrounds, to consider a career in healthcare. Through presentations from medical residents and practicing physicians, and hands-on learning experiences, such as using an EKG machine, performing CPR, and practicing suturing, students gain introductory knowledge to the field of medicine and are encouraged to start on the path towards this rewarding career.
In partnership with Caldwell High School and Full Circle Health we are currently offering Doctor for a Day sessions throughout the 2023 – 2024 School Year at Caldwell High School. If you are a student or a parent of a student at Caldwell High School and are interested in participating in DFAD, please contact Katrina, khoff@jannus.org.
