Continuing Medical Education

SW ID AHEC offers continuing education training for physicians and other providers with a focus on training needs for providers serving rural and underserved populations. We also seek to partner with other organizations to deliver a variety of CE trainings on important topics, including: Interprofessional Education, Behavioral Health Integration, Social Determinants of Health, Cultural Humility, Practice Transformation, Current & Emerging Health Issues.

Teach and Inspire

Practicing healthcare professionals have impactful opportunities to shape the future of the industry. By guest speaking at our Orientation to Health Careers program, they have the chance to share insights with aspiring individuals. Mentoring high school students inspires the next generation, fostering passion – mentoring opportunities are available on an irregularly basis, please contact us to see what is currently available. Volunteering as preceptors at programs like WWAMI RUOP provides hands-on education in diverse healthcare settings for future physicians. These efforts not only enrich learning experiences but also strengthen the overall healthcare community.

Physician Vitality

Physician Vitality efforts in our state are ever evolving thanks to our dedicated partners. Ada County Medical Society’s Physician Vitality Program provides confidential access to mental health providers for licensed medical association members. The Idaho coalition of Physician Vitality champions promote the National Charter on Physician Well-Being (NCPW) as a local aspirational standard for the greater SW Idaho medical community.
